These Earthy Peruvian opal beads strike a balance between grounded and otherworldly, evocative of pristine, cool mountain streams. We like to turn the clasp to the front as an added element of interest. If you want to take this necklace to the next level, try attaching a pavé Charm Lock between the clasps, as well as a charm or few. Or mix these beads with your neck mess to bring some crisp and cool natural color to your jewelry look.
PRO TIP: Attach your chain necklace to the linking oval clasp for an awesome half-opal, half-chain look!
Sizing info (necklaces): Use a piece of string (or tape measure) to find the desired length of your necklace, and then measure the length of the string. The image below shows roughly where the necklace lengths fall. However, we suggest using the measuring method to see exactly how the lengths fall on your neck, as they fit every body a little differently.
Opal care: Opal is a soft stone and is prone to drying out and cracking if improperly treated. Chemicals including hair products, dyes, oils, cleaners, perfumes, lotions, and chlorine should be avoided while wearing your opal jewelry. Keep your opals cool and out of hot sunlight so they don’t crack and get discolored from too much heat. Your opals need to breathe - they should not be kept in a closed box. Clean with care: gently wipe them down with a soft, damp cloth after wearing to clean off any oils or residue and rehydrate them.
